Mescherin ja saksa polka

v. mescherin' electromusical instruments orchestra - german polka 1964

lugege unustamatu härra kohta allpool viidatud artiklist. "the group scored its first hit in 1961 with a remake of an Estonian folk tune. The band gave the song a Marxist makeover, calling it "On the Collective Poultry Farm." An irresistibly grating polka melody bracketed by what can only be described as two robotic chicken squawks, the song is better known to Russians as the score to the popular farmer-vs.-fox cartoon, Nu Pogodi!" super!

very informative article on Mescherin

Dear Martin,
thanks for writing English. I`m sorry that I thought you were from Finland.
This is a beautiful Melodija label. Is it from Latvia? I have some Russian 7" records from the 50`s from Riga. At least "Rigas Fabrika" is written on the label. Maybe I can send you the scans and some mp3s and you can tell me more?

Best wishes
Andreas
